Ghosts of Gone Birds

Some of the unluckiest of our feathered friends, driven to extinction centuries ago, are being brought to life again by artists such as Sir Peter Blake, Jamie Hewlett and Ralph Steadman for a London exhibition. Film-maker Ceri Levy has organised it in the hope of raising awareness of the plight of endangered birds. "Birds connect with us far more than we realise," he says . "People respond to them – everybody has a story about a bird."

Ghosts of Gone Birds is at the Rochelle School, London E2, from 2 to 23 November. Visit facebook.com/ghostsofgonebirds
